THE ANIMATION NARRATIVE

My name is Joshua Garner and I am an aspiring animator who loves storytelling and the amazing ways that we can accomplish emotion through characters that aren't alive

My job and passion is to make these characters seem real and have minds of their own. As well as have individual personalities that come to life and make them seem like they came into existence. Having these characters connect to the audience (us) is the most important and to make sure the audience can relate and therefore become emotionally connected to the character

Step 2 (Texturing)

After I was finished with the modeling I started texturing the models. I made the outside of the bottles clear and then duplicated it and shrunk it so I could place it inside of the clear bottle. I then textured it a rough red and used the color ramp and some other nodes to make it have black specs to make it appear more realistic to hot sauce. I added some of our logos to the plastic top of the bottle to add detail. The final thing I did was add the logos onto the bottle

Step 4 (Animation)

The final step of this project was animating. I animated the camera at different views and angles showing the bottles and then animated the bottles themselves to spin and rotate by adding in some more key frames. I then added a song that matched the vibes we desired

Hot Sauce

I made this product for fun to add to a presentation my team and I were doing for college. We were working on a branding project so we had already made the logos and brand labels so I mocked up an animation so we could use some still frames as well as the animation for our collateral

Step 1 (Modeling)

I started by 3D modeling the bottles and getting the general figures I desired. I then smoothed it out and added some more geometry. I also used the shrinkwrap modifier to make the top of the bottle look like a plastic covering to the hot sauce. I then added a place to put the labels

Step 3 (Adding Fire)

After I was done texturing I added in a fire animation. I made a new object under the bottles and set it as the emitter and made a domain for the fire. I then manipulated the fire settings and colors. After that I added a Force Field to change the motion of the fire
